Milano Music Collective

The M.M.C. Ensemble, whose staff varies depending on the project presented, includes some of the most representative musicians of the Milanese jazz scene who adhere to the M.M.C. (Milano Music Collective) project. More than 30 musicians belonging to various generations have joined the Collective formed in 2012 by senior musicians from the avant-garde and creative area of ​​Milan to create an ideal bridge with the new generations and to keep alive the language developed in their most interesting experiences by the jazz avant-gardes of the 20th century

M.M.C. has created many projects over time including tributes to the music of Sun Ra, Bill Frisell, Art Ensemble of Chicago, John Zorn, Pharoah Sanders, Bob Dylan, Raashan Roland Kirk, Charles Mingus, Carla Bley, Don Cherry, King Crimson, Van Der Graaf Generator, alternating with original productions by Luigi Bonafede, Paolo Botti, Cristiano Calcagnile, Alessandro Castelli, Daniele Cavallanti, Oscar Del Barba, Massimo Falascone, Riccardo Luppi, Carlo Maria Nartoni, Ermanno Novali, Daniel Studer, Alberto Tacchini, Tiziano Tononi, and others
